Bali : Pure Cultural Indulgence

Location

Directly in the centre of the Indonesian Archipelago, between the Bali sea and the Indian Ocean, lays the 5,600 sqm island of Bali.

Population

A population of 3 million, 300,000 Balinese living in the capital of Denpasar. Most people live in small, traditional villages along the picturesque rice fields, spread over the island.

Bali's culture is predominantly influenced by Hinduism. It is a natural paradise with over 3,000m high volcanoes and endless beaches, deep ravines and soft hills and breathtaking nature. A rich diversity of colourful traditions and artistry.

The Gaia Oasis Retreat is located in the northern part of the island, where tourism is not predominant. Directly on the Pacific Ocean, with its spectacular sunrises and lava blackened beach, it is backed by mountain ranges in the south.

How To Get There

You will need to book your own flight to Denpasar, Bali's international airport. Awareness Adventures will provide a driver to meet you and bring you to the retreat, approximately 2 hours drive.

We can recommend a couple of reasonably priced hotels close to the airport if you do need to stay overnight.

Please note, that due to a very busy flight schedule, you are well advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Visa

Your passport must be valid for at least another 6 months.

The citizens of 21 countries and territories eligible to purchase visas on arrival are: the United States, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Finland, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Norway, France, Poland, Switzerland, New Zealand and Taiwan. Visas cost US$25.

Citizens not mentioned (e.g. Dutch, Austrian) have to apply for a Visa before entering Indonesia with an Indonesian embassy.
